It doesn't matter what your subscription is, as long as you're getting 1Mbps internet speed, PLDT Home Ultera will consider it as acceptable. While on the phone with a customer service supervisor handling the issues I have with my PLDT Home Ultera internet service, I was informed that their back-end support considers 1Mbps (download or upload) as acceptable regardless of the speed you subscribed to. This contradicts the 30% minimum speed that PLDT stated on their PLDT Home Ultera webpage (or perhaps they're going to change that clause in the website soon). PLDT has started offering faster home internet with speeds of up to 300 Mbps under its PLDT Home Fiber Prepaid service. Looks like PLDT is aggressively selling its DSL service, now with a residential package of Php999 per month (PLDT Plan 999) at speeds of 384Kbps. I just checked my PLDT DSL speed at home last night and I was averaging around 480Kbps.
