Based on a quarterly report from Globe, it seems like Postpaid subscribers are spending 7 times the amount on voice and data services compared to Prepaid subscribers. A recent press release from Globe Telecom indicated that their average revenue per Postpaid subscriber is Php1,492 for the 2nd quarter of 2008. On the other hand, average revenue from Globe Prepaid subscribers is just Php206. TM subscribers even spend less -- Php107. Total Globe subscribers is just over 22.7 million but only 727,000 are postpaid and all the rest are prepaid. That's about 3 postpaid subscribers for every 100 prepaid users. What's actually interesting is how much Globe spends to acquire new subscribers. It's Php5,209 for postpaid, Php28 for Globe Prepaid and Php36 for TM users.
