Based on a quarterly report from Globe, it seems like Postpaid subscribers are spending 7 times the amount on voice and data services compared to Prepaid subscribers. On the other hand, average revenue from Globe Prepaid subscribers is just Php206. TM subscribers even spend less -- Php107. Total Globe subscribers is just over 22.7 million but only 727,000 are postpaid and all the rest are prepaid. That's about 3 postpaid subscribers for every 100 prepaid users. What's actually interesting is how much Globe spends to acquire new subscribers. It's Php5,209 for postpaid, Php28 for Globe Prepaid and Php36 for TM users. Based on our last interview with Globe representatives, the Starlink service will be free for Globe Postpaid under Plan 1499 and up, while other subscribers will need to subscribe to it as an add-on.
