BlackBerry, known for producing world’s most secure Android smartphones, will no longer deliver monthly updates for their PRIV smartphone. According to BlackBerry Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mobility Solutions Division Alex Thurber, BlackBerry committed to deliver 2 years of monthly software updates for the PRIV, however, the PRIV’s built-in security had "little need for many of the updates" as they believe that their phones are more secure. Meta has announced a huge update to their privacy policy that will take effect on December 16. The policy update will also affect Instagram and WhatsApp, which also adopt Meta’s AI features. The update improves RCS messaging by adding support for replying to specific messages in conversations with Android users. Other changes include remote Apple TV software updates through the Home app, AI editing support for RAW photos, camera interface improvements and new options for managing Siri conversations.
