Smart Communications and Sun Cellular have issued a public advisory regarding the shutting down mobile phone services in parts of Manila, Makati, and Quezon City. Both Smart and Sun mention that they were advised not to issue an advisory earlier or prior to the shutdown because of the 'sensitivity of ongoing police operations'. On the other hand, Globe was able to release their own public advisory last night -- saying that they will temporarily suspend mobile services for 48 hours in Quiapo, Manila and neighboring vicinities.
