PayMaya has just announced the nationwide expansion of QR payments in the country using the national QR standard. To further boost QR payments in the country, PayMaya has accelerated the rollout of the interoperable QR code to more businesses and government agencies. "We are in full swing with the roll of the QR Ph initiative -- from allowing our merchant partners to accept QR payments from other QR Ph participating banks and e-wallets to allowing our PayMaya e-wallet users to scan-to-pay at all QR Ph merchants and not just at PayMaya QR merchants. Ministop, one of the largest 24-hour convenience store chains in the Philippines, has partnered with GCash to promote cashless payments in the country through QR scanning. OPPO has announced that it now accepts GCash and Scan-to-Pay payment methods at its own branded kiosks and concept stores. Its QR payment system called Scan to Pay, on the other hand, was launched last October and allows for payment of just about anything at any merchant with GCash support as you scan QR codes posted inside the store. .Check out the OPPO stores that are available for GCash payments in this link here.
