#Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

Qualcomm finally confirmed and will officially reveal the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset on November 26 in China. This new chip sits right below the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, giving brands a powerful but slightly more affordable flagship option. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 can deliver up to 77% better GPU performance and supports 90FPS gameplay which is a first for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI. Meanwhile, smartphones using Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 are expected from OPPO, realme and REDMI. Qualcomm has announced that its annual Snapdragon Summit will take place from September 22 to 24, 2026, in Hawaii, where the company is expected to introduce its next-generation Snapdragon processors.
