The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that may launch this year already has a successor in the works. As suggested by leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is said to have a massive performance jump compared to the Gen 3 chip. According to a reliable leaker, Tech_Reve from Twitter, the user has pointed out that Qualcomm is mass-producing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in an improved 3nm process, the N3E, of TSMC. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. Both chipsets introduce Snapdragon Smooth Motion UI. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 can deliver up to 77% better GPU performance and supports 90FPS gameplay which is a first for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI.
