Qualcomm says that their recently announced Snapdragon 800 will also be equipped with Quick Charge 2.0 charging technology. The upcoming Snapdragon 800 with Quick Charge 2.0, on the other hand, is said to lessen the charging time even more, by 75-percent to be exact. Unfortunately, we have to wait quite a while before we get a taste of this new technology as Snapdragon 800 devices is only expected to hit the market in the early part of 2014. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon Wear Elite, a new processor designed for smartwatches and other wearable devices, bringing on-device AI features along with improved performance and battery life. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear Elite offers up to five times faster CPU performance and up to seven times better graphics performance compared with the previous Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2 chip.
