Qualcomm has announced its new system-on-chip (SoC) designed for the next generation of wearable devices - the Snapdragon Wear 2100. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC will allow manufacturers to produce wearable technology with "sleek designs, long battery life, smart-sensing, and always- connected experiences." It will come in both tethered (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) and connected (4G/LTE and 3G) versions. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity.
