Qualcomm has unveiled its Smart Audio Platform which now supports Microsoft Cortana at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Just like Google Home and Amazon Echo, Qualcomm's Smart Audio Platform is a smart speaker that lets you get things done easily since it is first equipped to support OEMs who want to add their own differentiating features, and includes a combination of Amazon Alexa, Qualcomm AllPlay Smart Audio Platform, and Google technologies. Apart from that, it comes with Multicore ARM, Qualcomm Hexagon DSP platform architecture, and Quick Charge. "We are pleased to support the powerful capabilities of Microsoft Cortana Digital Assistant for smart speakers on our Smart Audio Platform," said Anthony Murray, senior vice president and general manager, voice and music, Qualcomm Technologies International, Ltd. The earbuds can record conversations and generate transcripts in several formats including summaries by speaker, chapter-based summaries, debriefs, meeting minutes, discussions, reports, class notes, seminars and conversations. When it comes to speakers, I bet the very first thing that comes to mind for most of you are the likes of JBL, Sony, or Bose—usually the popular ones.
