#Roblox Philippines ban

Roblox may be blocked in the Philippines after the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) shortened its deadline for the company to respond to safety concerns from 30 days to 15. Telcos agreed to prepare to block access to Roblox across the country, setting up the system needed if the ban pushes through. Roblox is widely used in the Philippines, especially among young players. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said Roblox will not be banned in the Philippines after the platform promised to improve safety for children. Earlier, the agency warned Roblox it could face a ban because of reports about child safety issues on the platform. After Roblox agreed to improve its safeguards, the DICT decided not to push through with the ban. Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center has issued a one-month ultimatum to Roblox, warning of a possible nationwide ban if concerns over child safety and illegal activity are not addressed.
