Rakuten Viber has partnered with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT-powered features directly into the Viber app for users in the Philippines. Through the integration, Viber users can now access ChatGPT tools without leaving the messaging app. One of the main additions is a dedicated ChatGPT in Viber contact and tab, which lets users ask questions, get help with tasks, brainstorm ideas, or search for information directly within the app. According to Rakuten Viber, most of the new tools can be used immediately after updating to the latest version of the app. Rakuten Viber CEO Ofir Eyal said the company wants to make everyday communication easier and more creative by integrating AI into the app’s existing messaging experience. Apple has loosened its grip on retro console emulators within the App Store. The updated App Store guidelines now permit these long-banned emulators, allowing those already availeble to Android to make their way onto iPhones. The games themselves must comply with "all applicable laws," implying that apps offering pirated titles would be essentially banned from the marketplace.
