These are more powerful versions of the Ryzen 7 2700U and Ryzen 5 2500U currently found on Ryzen-powered laptops. The Ryzen 7 2800H comes with 4 cores and 8 threads along with a Vega 11 GPU clocked at 1,300MHz. The Ryzen 5 2600H, on the other hand, also comes with 4 cores and 8 threads with a Vega 8 GPU clocked at 1,100MHz. Pricing and availability for the Ryzen 7 2800H and Ryzen 5 2600H are yet to be announced. A month after the announcement of the Ryzen 7 desktop processors, AMD has announced their newest series of processors designed for gamers and creators - the Ryzen 5. The Ryzen 5 series aims to challenge Intel's Core i5 processors. According to AMD, the Ryzen 5 1600X beats the Intel Core i5 7600K by 69% in CPU performance testing using Cinebench R15 nT.
