The Samsung Exynos 2500 mobile chipset has officially been unveiled. Samsung's marketing materials state that the Exynos 2500's big-core performance has been boosted by 15% over its predecessor, which theoretically should give it better multitasking and heavy-app performance. As AI is the future in 2025, the Exynos 2500 can run technologies at a 39% improvement over the previous iteration - thanks to a much stronger NPU capable of up to 59 trillion TOPS. The Exynos 2500 is set to debut in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold series. Despite the absence of an Exynos chip in the new Galaxy S25 Series, the in-house chip from Samsung isn’t entirely gone. Samsung has confirmed that it’s still working on the Exynos 2500, with plans to release it in the second half of 2025. The news came during Samsung’s latest earnings call, where the company’s System LSI division noted that the Exynos 2500 is being refined with an eye toward securing “design wins” for mobile models launching in the latter part of the year.
