Got several reports coming in from Samsung Galaxy S i9000 users in the Philippines that they've gotten the Android 2.2 Froyo update already. So I took the Galaxy S out of storage and tried out the update using Samsung Kies. A few more minutes of back-up and downloading the updates, the Galaxy S is now running on Android Froyo 2.2. Well, it looks like Samsung is ready to come up with a competitor through the release of the Galaxy Glasses later this year. The Galaxy Glasses will run Samsung's in-house One UI XR. Both devices are expected to officially debut at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is heavily rumored for July 22, 2026, in London. The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G starts at Php 18,990 for the 6+128 GB variant and Php 21,990 for the 8+256 GB model. Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Book 6 Edge, its first laptop powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X2 Elite processor.
