Samsung is pushing to offer consumers access to device parts, repair tools, and repair guides. The downside, however, is that the repair program is currently offered only by Samsung US as of now, but it’s a step in the right direction nonetheless that benefits consumers. Samsung’s new repair program comes in partnership with iFixit, who are advocates for the right-to-repair movement that allows consumers to be able to repair their devices and have access to the tools and methods for repairing their devices. Samsung says that it will only limit the repair terms to only allow users to fix the display, back glass, and charging ports. As well, the only products supported in this repair program are previous generation Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S20 and  S21 family of devices, and the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus with plans to add more devices in the near future. Samsung announced that a joint study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital in Korea found that the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 can predict vasovagal syncope (VVS) or sudden fainting episodes using health data collected by the smartwatch.
