Following @evleaks' recent tweets about the new Gear smartwatches, Samsung has officially unveiled the Tizen-powered Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. As mentioned in our earlier post, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo come with notable improvements, especially in the design part, compared to the original Gear. Although the OS has changed, the wearables will still be able to support more than a dozen Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo is expected to be available around the world starting April. We've reported last month that Samsung will also unveil a second-generation Gear smartwatch to go with the upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S5. It looks like we have an early look at not one, but two non-Galaxy-branded Gear smartwatches - the Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo. Based on the images tweeted by @evleaks, Samsung overhauls the design of the new Gear which now sport a better and cleaner look compared to its predecessor. The best part is that the new smartwatches come in two variants - the metal-clad Gear 2 and the less premium-looking Gear Neo.
