Samsung has introduced in China a new image sensor for smartphones called the ISOCELL HPX which boasts a resolution of 200MP and Tetra pixel binning technology. According to Samsung, the new ISOCELL HPX has a 0.56-micron pixel size for a reduced camera module size, Advanced DTI (Deep Trench Isolation) for better pixel isolation for boosted sensitivity, and Super QPD for improved autofocus. The Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor is expected to be used in Samsung's next flagship smartphones.
