Samsung has revealed Low-Power Double Data Rate 6 (LPDDR6) RAM which has already received an award. LPDDR6 is built on a 12nm process with the memory being able to deliver data speeds of up to 10.7Gbps. With faster performance, smarter power management, and enhanced reliability, LPDDR6 aims to meet the growing demand for high-speed, energy-efficient memory in the AI era. Samsung has announced that LPDDR6 has already received the CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree under Mobile Devices, Accessories & Apps. Other devices under Samsung that have this award are the Galaxy XR, Galaxy Z Fold7, and Galaxy Watch8 under their respective categories. There is no word on which device will be the first to have LPDDR6 RAM. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former.
