ABS-CBN's cable company services SKYcable and SKY Fiber continue to operate and serve its subscribers nationwide. James Dumlao, SKY Cable Corporation's head of Programming, clarifies that the services are not covered by the cease and desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission. "We wish to reiterate our assurance to our cable and broadband subscribers that they will continue to enjoy our services,” he said. This means nearly seven in 10 mobile users are still dependent on legacy 3G services ahead of the government-mandated shutdown of 3G networks by the end of 2026. All three providers now offer contract-free fiber prepaid services. PLDT’s extensive nationwide network infrastructure allows more households across the Philippines to access fiber prepaid services. The company is also pairing its GFiber business plans with Free Vulnerability Assessment Scans, intended to identify security gaps for organizations, especially in sectors such as e-commerce, healthcare, and financial services.
