Google has unveiled the new Google Home Speaker, its first smart speaker built specifically for Gemini, the company's AI-powered voice assistant. The Google Home Speaker is designed to make conversations with a voice assistant feel more natural. Google says the speaker also supports more advanced requests that require multiple steps of reasoning. Aside from its AI capabilities, the Google Home Speaker features 360-degree audio and improved microphone processing to better pick up voice commands. The speaker will be available in Hazel and Porcelain color options, while Jade and Berry will be exclusive to the United States. As of writing, Google Philippines has not yet announced local pricing, availability, or pre-order details for the Google Home Speaker. Amazon has unveiled a new Echo Studio smart speaker at its fall 2025 hardware event, calling it the company’s “most advanced and best-sounding Echo ever.” The updated Studio is 40% smaller than the original 2019 model and features three full-range drivers, a custom woofer, spatial audio, and Dolby Atmos support. Powered by the new AZ3 Pro chip, the speaker supports state-of-the-art language models and vision transformers, enabling more advanced Alexa interactions.
