Alongside the Mi 5X smartphone and MIUI 9, Xiaomi has launched their take on a smart speaker, the Mi AI Speaker.
Just like products such as the Amazon Echo and Google Home, it can be used to control a variety of smart products. Xiaomi also stated that it will have a library of content for the speaker including music, audio books, children’s stories, and live radio.
Xiaomi boasts of its superb audio quality, and the speaker itself is voice-controlled via a six-microphone array, allowing for 360 degree audio sensing. Up top, you get playback controls and a blue LED notification band around the edges.
The Mi AI Speaker is priced at CNY 299 (~Php2.2k), but there is no information yet on international availability.
