The Spotify Deluxe 391 subscription tier has been confirmed by the company’s CEO Daniel Ek.

It will add to the existing Basic and Premium plans that Spotify offers. However, it’s still in development which is still in its early days. Ek describes it as a deluxe version of Spotify with all benefits that the current version has.

The main difference between tiers is a lot more control and a lot of higher quality across the board. Ek also noted that the upcoming subscription tier should be around a USD 17-18 (~PHP 1,000) price point.

If this pushes through, we’re in for a new tier that introduces higher quality streaming. Spotify will probably offer their long-awaited lossless audio feature 92 with their Deluxe tier as well.
