SmartSens has introduced a new flagship-grade smartphone camera sensor, aiming to push mobile photography and videography further with improved dynamic range, low-light performance, and high-frame-rate video. It is built on a 22nm stacked architecture and integrates SmartSens’ updated HDR 3.0 technology. For low-light performance, the sensor uses 1.6μm pixels combined with SmartSens’ SFCPixel technology, which enhances light sensitivity and reduces noise. SmartSens also highlighted improved efficiency, with around 11% lower power consumption in HDR mode, which may help reduce heat during extended video recording sessions.
