Qualcomm announces its latest mid-range chipsets for future mobile devices -- the Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630. The Snapdragon 660 succeeds the Snapdragon 653 while the Snapdragon 630 replaces the Snapdragon 626. These features were previously exclusive to the Snapdragon 800-series processors. Other new features include support for Bluetooth 5.0, Qualcomm Snapdragon X12 LTE modem (up to 600Mbps down), 2x2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, iris scanning, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4. As for its graphics processing unit (GPU), The Snapdragon 660 gets a 30 percent improvement over its predecessor with the Adreno 512, while the Snapdragon 630 has the Adreno 508. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmWZvymyDyE The Snapdragon 660 platform is available now while the Snapdragon 630 platform is expected to ship towards the end of this month.
