Qualcomm has just recently launched its Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset with both Xiaomi and Realme having announced on Weibo posts that they will soon be releasing smartphones that pack in the new chipset. Just as we reported last week, Qualcomm has now officially launched its all-new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. Qualcomm calls the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 its "most powerful Snapdragon 7-series — ever." The chip manufacturer says that the 7+ Gen 2's Kryo CPU boasts substantial performance upgrades of up to 50% in overall improvement and performance gains. The 7+ Gen 2 also promises high-speed 5G and Wi-Fi through the Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System. We expect the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 to appear in mid-range to upper mid-range devices and we're excited about what it can provide in terms of real-world usage. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 can deliver up to 77% better GPU performance and supports 90FPS gameplay which is a first for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series.
