We're here in the island of Maui, Hawaii to attend the annual Snapdragon Summit as Qualcomm formally unveils their latest chipsets -- the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 for mobile and the Snapdragon X2 Elite for PC. No other compensation were made for the coverage of the Snapdragon Summit.) Originally teased last week, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 is the latest mobile SoC from Qualcomm. To demonstrate the power of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5, Qualcomm provided us with a a reference device (QRD) that we can use and test a number of benchmarks. On board, it uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and OnePlus says it brings noticeable speed gains over the last generation.
