#Snapdragon Wear 4100+

A teaser was posted on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Twitter page which shows us a glimpse of their incoming next generation of wearable chipset for smartwatches. As of now, their latest wearable SoC is the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ which is built on a 12nm process and has a new co-processor to help it handle more background processes such as sensor input and sound. The Snapdragon Wear 4100+ is actually the improved version of its predecessor Snapdragon Wear 3100 Platform in which it showed better performance and improved battery. https://twitter.com/Snapdragon/status/1546872316864364544 There’s not much information from the Tweet of Snapdragon but one thing is certain Qualcomm is not backing up on the wearable chipset arena in the smartwatch industry. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon Wear Elite, a new processor designed for smartwatches and other wearable devices, bringing on-device AI features along with improved performance and battery life. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear Elite offers up to five times faster CPU performance and up to seven times better graphics performance compared with the previous Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2 chip. Snapdragon Wear Elite also includes a Hexagon NPU, which allows devices to run AI features directly on the device without relying heavily on the cloud.
