Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon C platform, a new processor designed for entry-level laptops priced starting at around USD 300. The company said Snapdragon C is aimed at students, families, and small businesses, focusing on battery life, efficiency, and everyday performance for tasks such as web browsing, video streaming, productivity, and video calls. Snapdragon C also includes an integrated NPU for AI features and is designed for fanless, quiet laptop designs. Qualcomm said laptops powered by Snapdragon C are expected to launch later this year from brands including Acer, HP, and Lenovo. One of the first announced devices using the platform is the Acer Aspire Go 15, which Acer introduced alongside its new Snapdragon-powered Swift Spin 14 AI laptop. Meanwhile, Acer’s higher-end Swift Spin 14 AI uses Snapdragon X2 Elite or X2 Plus processors and supports Copilot+ PC features. Apparently, it is the brand’s first ever Snapdragon-powered phone.
