Move over, Exynos. Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S25, is reportedly ditching its in-house Exynos chips for a uniform Snapdragon experience worldwide.

Ss Galaxy S24 Ultra Review Yg

According to a report from Korean website Hankyung, all members of the Galaxy S25 family, including the vanilla S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will opt for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC regardless of region.

Previously, the company is expected to deploy the Exynos 2500 for the vanilla and Plus variants of the Galaxy S25, but Samsung reportedly changed its decision.

This marks a significant departure from the company’s practice of offering different chipsets in different regions.

While Samsung’s Exynos chips have shown improvement in recent years, they’ve consistently fallen short of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon counterparts in terms of performance and efficiency.

The Galaxy S24, for instance, saw a clear advantage for Snapdragon models in benchmarks and real-world usage.

Interestingly, the same report further claim that the Exynos 2500 will instead be used in the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7 in the second half of 2025.
