Xcode updates: The coding assistant can now localize entire apps, interact with simulated devices, and support custom skills. Microsoft's Notepad has just received new updates for text formatting. Apple has made a major change by permitting users with free Apple developer accounts to access the company's latest software developer betas simultaneously with those who pay, without requiring the annual USD 99 fee for the Apple Developer Program. In the past, Apple has only allowed those with a paid Apple Developer account to access early developer betas of new operating system updates. These betas are intended for developers who typically use secondary devices to test their applications with the new software. Xiaomi officially launched the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro tablets for global markets in March, but details on software support were unclear at the time. Now, the company has quietly listed both devices on its Product Security Center, confirming how long each model will receive updates — and the results are a bit unexpected. Despite being the higher-end model, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will only receive two major Android updates (likely up to Android 17), and security patches until 2028.
