Sony might go old school on the design of their upcoming mid-range smartphone called the Xperia P2 – or at least what the handful of pictures of the yet-to-be-announced handset suggests which shows a transparent strip just below the screen. The iconic transparent strip of glass/plastic was first popularized by the company during 2012 when they initially the Xperia S shortly after Sony severed ties with Ericsson. Now, Sony is allegedly taking a page out of their old handbook with the design of the leaked Xperia P2. As suggested by the leaked photos, Sony has made some refinements on the Xperia P2’s design by giving it a neat screen-to-body ratio, resulting to an almost all-screen, near bezel-less façade. Along with a fairly detailed look at its design, one of the leaked pictures is accompanied by the alleged specs sheet of the Xperia P2. Sony has yet to confirm any of the aforementioned information about the alleged Xperia P2. Sony has confirmed that it will launch the Xperia 1 VIII on May 13 at 11:00 AM JST.
