As written in a USA Today article, uBeam was able to prove their concept of wirelessly charging devices through the use of sound waves. With the use of a transmitter encased in a large white box sitting in a middle of a room, they utilize high-frequency sound waves that aren't detectable by the human ear. Those waves are converted into power once it reaches the device using a uBeam receiver case. First, the device must be in the direct path of the sound wave. So aside from the LTE model of the Galaxy S2, Samsung also announced three new Bada OS smartphones -- the Samsung Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y with the Wave 3 definitely being the flagship Bada handset. These new line-up of Samsung Wave handsets certainly will attest to that. The Wave M and Wave Y comes with slower processors (~800MHz) and smaller screen real estate (3.65" for M and 3.2" for Y).
