Senator Manny Pacquiao has just asked SpaceX, a US-based space exploration company to build a launchpad On Mindanao Island. The senator met with executives from SpaceX in order to find solutions for cheaper internet in the country as well as build a space launchpad in the country. “The involvement of SpaceX in our country will not only bring in investments and jobs but will also put us at the forefront of space science,” Mr. Senator Koko Pimentel III, echoed the sentiments of Senator Pacquiao and said that Mindanao is an ideal location for a spaceship launchpad as it is near the equator.
