Spotify has officially merged with Anchor (the world's largest podcast hosting platform) to launch a new platform that provides everything you need to create and grow a podcast. This announcement was made during Stream On, Spotify's event that showcases new innovations for creators and fans. This new platform will be the foundation for building a more vibrant and interactive experience around podcasts. Existing Anchor and Spotify for Podcasters users will now have access to more tools than ever before by logging into their existing accounts. Spotify for Podcasters has been available to creators since 2018, and since then it has only provided access to Spotify analytics. Starting today, when you sign up or log in using your Spotify for Podcasters or Anchor login, you'll find a dashboard with everything you need to make, manage, and level up your show. For creators hosting their content with Spotify for Podcasters, this includes the ability to upload or record content, publish video podcasts to Spotify, add interactive features like Q&As and polls, access to a number of monetization tools, and the ability to keep track of the show's growth with advanced analytics. While many of these features have been limited exclusively to Anchor users (now referred to as Spotify-hosted creators), the new Spotify for Podcasters is built to offer more access to innovation.
