The Supreme Court (SC) has officially denied the National Telecommunications Commission's (NTC) petition to lower SMS message rates to PHP 0.80 and refund subscribers. Last Thursday, June 19, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Philippines formally launched the eCourt Portal, an online platform aimed at modernizing court processes nationwide. Here's what can be done with the portal: eFiling - Online filing of cases and pleadings before the Supreme Court. By July 1, eFiling will be available to the public and starting October 1, 2025, eFiling will be mandatory for all Supreme Court cases except administrative and bar matters.
