Trend Micro has recently published a report that two apps in Google's Play Store were found to feature malware codes that allows it to mine crytpocurrency on Android devices without users' knowledge. According to Trend Micro, the apps feature the malware ANDROIDOS_KAGECOIN.HBTB that mines for various digital currencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin when installed on an Android device. Trend Micro has already informed the Google Play security team about the issue. Attention cat-lovers out there, Trend Micro has reason to believe that hackers are using pictures of cute and furry feline to spread a type of ZBOT malware (TSPY_ZBOT.TFZAH) which has the ability to capture credentials and financial information. Microsoft has announced to completely remove the Adobe Flash component from Windows through the KB4577586 "Update for Removal of Adobe Flash Player" starting June 2021. In July 2017, Microsoft, along with Adobe and their industry technology partners, announced that Adobe Flash Player would no longer be supported after December 2020.
