vivo just went big for its 30th anniversary, not with another smartphone, but with something totally new: the vivo Vision Discovery Edition, the brand’s first-ever mixed reality headset. vivo is officially stepping into spatial computing, making it the first Chinese tech company to dive into both smartphones and MR at the same time. In partnership with ZEISS, vivo is enhancing zoom and low-light photography with in-house chips and AI. Plus, vivo has joined the C2PA coalition to help fight photo manipulation by certifying authentic images. Big moves from vivo, and it looks like this is just the start. vivo has officially announced its first mixed reality (MR) headset, the Vision Explorer Edition, during its 30th anniversary event in Dongguan, China. With this launch, vivo becomes the first Chinese smartphone manufacturer to release an MR device, positioning it as a direct competitor to Apple’s Vision Pro. The Vision Explorer Edition has a compact and lightweight build, weighing 398 grams and measuring 83mm in height with a thickness of 40mm.
