Western Digital has expanded the storage capacity of its My Book drive by cramming 22TB and the My Book Duo with 44TB. Previous My Book drives topped out at 18TB and 36TB for the duo variant. The My Book is more suited to backing up photos, videos, files and whatnot from other portable storage devices. The My Book Duo on the other hand is a more advanced drive for full-on system backups that is RAID optimized that performs at a higher speed with RAID-1 with the option of two independent drives. Both drives work with either windows or Mac, but the My Book Duo is formatted for Windows out of the box, though you can download the NTFS driver for macOS if needed through the software. Pricing is not cheap with the 22TB My Book coming in at $600 or PHP 33,100 and the 44TB My Book Duo coming in at $1100 or PHP60,730 at current exchange rates.
