Microsoft has just released its new pricing for Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro upgrades which will take effect starting February. From February onwards, Windows 8 upgrade editions will be priced as follows: Windows 8 Pro upgrade edition will be available online and at retail for $199.99 MSRP. Windows 8 upgrade edition will be available online and at retail for $119.99 MSRP. Windows 8 Pro Pack will cost $99.99 MSRP. Windows 8 Media Center Pack will cost $9.99 MSRP. For those who prefer a cheaper upgrade, Microsoft currently has a promotional offer available until January 31st that lets consumers upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $39.99 via Windows.com or purchase a Windows 8 retail box for $69.99.
