Qualcomm teased an upcoming Snapdragon X chip made for budget-friendly Windows-powered devices during their Investor Day event. At the moment, news outlets have only referred to this as Snapdragon X. At the moment, Qualcomm offers PCs with the Snapdragon X Elite with a 12-core CPU. There’s also the Snapdragon X Plus, available with either an 8 or 10-core CPU. The most notable thing announced from the event is that Qualcomm will be including their NPU for the base Snapdragon X. This paves the way for making Copilot+ PCs accessible on Windows laptops at cheaper prices. We expect the news on the Snapdragon X by next year’s CES event. I've had the beta version of Windows 7 installed on my Intel Core 2 Quad, a Compaq Presario, and an Atom-based netbook for about a week now and so far, Microsoft's upcoming operating system gave a fairly good impression.
