Microsoft is officially rolling out Windows 11 globally starting today, October 5, 2021. It will roll out as a free upgrade to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come pre-loaded with Windows 11. The Windows 11 upgrade will then roll out to in-market devices “based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of device and other factors.” Those who have a Windows 10 PC eligible for the upgrade will be notified when the update is available. Users may also check if Windows 11 is ready for their device by going to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates*. Check out our previous article for the full features of Windows 11. Microsoft targets to offer the free upgrade to Windows 11 to all eligible devices by mid-2022. Though not very accurate, I'd say the Windows Experience Index sub-score of the CPU gives us a good perspective on the processor's capabilities.
