CICC Undersecretary Renato Paraiso announced Wednesday that the Philippines will restore access to Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok after its developer committed to removing image-manipulation tools that raised child safety concerns. “The Grok AI app has reached out to us and stated that its platform will no longer use any content manipulation,” Paraiso said. CICC also adds: "Even after lifting the ban, the CICC will still closely monitor the app to ensure they comply with the rules and regulations in our country." Grok had been blocked last week over concerns it could generate sexualized images. The ban followed a global crackdown on Grok’s sexually explicit content across social media platforms.
