With the announcement of the Xiaomi 17T series today, those hoping to upgrade from last year's Xiaomi 15T to the new Xiaomi 17T. We break down the specs configuration of the two phones in order to see what Xiaomi has improved over the former. While there may be a number of incremental upgrades to the Xiaomi 17T, there are actually 3 major differences that folks need to know in order to make a distinction between the two. This time around, Xiaomi decided to make a distinction between the displays of the series. As such, we have a smaller display size for the 17T at 6.59 inches compared to the 6.83 inches of the 15T. On another note, while both smartphones use AMOLED, the 15T uses LTPS compared to the LTPO on the 17T. This means that the 17T can dynamically adjust the refresh rate down to 1Hz while the 15T can only do steps of 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz or 120Hz. Another improvement made on the Xiaomi 17T is the chipset.
