The Redmi 5 Plus, obviously, has a more powerful processor and bigger RAM option, putting it in the mid-range category. Both devices sport the same screen size but the Redmi 5 Plus has a higher resolution with Gorilla Glass. The Redmi 5 Plus, on the other hand, has an IR blaster which is a handy tool to have if you have plenty of IR-supported appliances at home.
