We're just in the third month of 2019 and we're already seeing plenty of new phones, especially in the mid-range segment For this comparison, we're going to take a look at the Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro. The pixel density is also in the same range with Redmi Note 7 Pro having a bit of an advantage. The Galaxy A50 uses a Super AMOLED for deeper blacks and more saturated colors, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro has an IPS with more natural colors. As for protection, the Redmi Note 7 Pro takes the cake for having the newer Gorilla Glass 5. The Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, only has a dual rear camera setup but has a higher resolution for the main camera at 48MP that is partnered to a 5MP depth camera. The Galaxy A50 takes everything from here though, edging the Redmi Note 7 Pro for having a higher resolution for the selfie camera, a dedicated microSD card slot, and an on-screen fingerprint scanner for a more seamless design. Looking at the engine under the hood, the two are running difference chipsets - the Galaxy A50 has the Exynos 9610 Octa, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro uses a Snapdragon 675, but have the same RAM and storage configuration.
