Smart has started adding more volume plans under their SmartBro service, starting off with 1.5GB bandwidth allocation for Php799USD 14INR 1,154EUR 13CNY 99 a month.
The SmartBro Turbo Plans offer two types of packages — All Month Surf + Volume or Pure Volume plans.
The All Month Surf + Volume Plans provide you with a data cap for heavy usage like YouTube, downloading, P2P and music streaming while allowing you to continue to use the internet for the rest of the month for light usage (browsing, social media, etc.) at a maximum of 256KBps.
All Month Surf.
Allows you to do 1.5GB* of light, casual internet activities (e.g. Social Media browsing such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, Google search, web browsing, chat and reading up on e-mails) without using the volume inclusion of the plan.
* Once you consume 1.5GB of All Month Surf, you will experience speeds of up to 256kbps on the light and casual Internet activities.
Pure Volume Plans will give you higher bandwidth allocation starting at 3GB per month at Php799USD 14INR 1,154EUR 13CNY 99.
However, once you consume all the data allocation, you get disconnected from the internet.
Smart allows you to continue to use if you buy additional bandwidth.
Allows you to do heavier Internet activities (e.g. Streaming of music/videos, downloading or uploading of files/videos, etc.) that use the volume inclusion of the plan. When you’ve used up your volume inclusion, you may purchase additional data packages.

the all month surf + volume is fair enough.
Agron says:
At least they don’t use the word “unlimited” on this one. Now it is your turn, Globe.
gadgeteer says:
niloloko ba nila ang pinoy?

callcenterboy says:

gef says:

aiden says:
I’d understand if this is for mobile phones, as the consumption is based on a personal use. But really, Smart Communications, Inc. is going with volume-based plans which is priced ridiculously on HOME internet? Forget about torrents, but what if you’re working home-based and if you have folks who like to watch YouTube videos? And what if you have legitimate subscription to streaming sites? This move by Smart just made internet more expensive here in the Philippines. I do hope that the Congress declares internet as a commodity so that pricing is controlled. Also, I’m really hoping Globe Telecom’s WiMax doesn’t follow suit as I think their 5GB daily cap is already fine.
Butt Sniffer says:
AaI wish we have the option to switch to 256kbps whenever we want to conserve volume bandwith.
SnakeEyes says:
Headline is kinda misleading. Plan 799 is either 3GB or 1.5GB with the All Month Surf. I guess the two options depend on the type of user that you are?
Cindy says:
Tubong lugaw.
Compared to other countries, Globe and smart charges the highest rates
juan says:
techboy says:

rs says:
pricing is ABSURD.
mike says:
Bakit ba puro kayo reklamo? Una gusto nyo mobile at nakaka internet kayo kahit saan. Tapos gusto nyo nakaka download kahit ng malalaking files at nakakanood ng full hd streaming videos. Pero ayaw nyo naman magbayad ng mahal. Ang mobile internet is shared yan hindi yan dedicated. Kung gusto nyo mag download ng malalaking files kahit saan nyo gustuhin e di magbayad kayo ng 2500 per month. Problema ba Yun??
JMR says:
This is absolutely amazing…
Unlimitted with limits!!
Turbo but will slow down!!
Wow! what an amazing concept!!
Saludo ako sa CEO ng smart sa pagiging BUWAYA!!
parang Jollibee\McDo lang din, fastfood nga sila pero wait ka ng 12 min para sa order mo, lalo na sa mga big burgers nila. Nakakatawa.
Ano ito??!! Bastusan?!
the reason why they are doing this is because they think we are gullible, they know that we can be easily lured into their traps, unfortunately they are right!!
toybits masa says:
When they say that fb is unlinimited.. Does it also mean that i can also watch videos on fb..?
Larry says:
