Black Shark has introduced the GS3 Ultra, a rugged smartwatch that builds on last year’s GS3 with tougher construction, more advanced positioning, and longer battery life.

The GS3 Ultra uses a reinforced metal frame with four mechanical style buttons and a 1.43 inch circular AMOLED display at 466 × 466 resolution, 1,000 nits peak brightness, 16.7 million colors, and Gorilla Glass with 9H hardness. Black Shark says users can choose from up to 270 watch faces out of the box.
As a rugged wearable, the GS3 Ultra carries MIL STD 810 certification for durability, 5ATM water resistance, and an IP69K rating, which means it can withstand high pressure, high temperature water jets on top of dust and water protection.

For fitness and health tracking, the watch supports more than 160 sports modes and can automatically detect common activities such as walking, running, elliptical workouts, and rowing. It also monitors heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), stress levels, and sleep, including deep, light, REM, and awake stages, plus nap detection.
Navigation is handled by dual band GPS (L1 and L5), with support for BeiDou, GLONASS, NavIC, and Galileo to improve accuracy in challenging environments such as cities and mountains. The GS3 Ultra also supports voice calls with environmental noise cancellation (ENC) when paired to a smartphone.
Black Shark claims its high density battery design delivers up to 18 days of use on a single charge under typical usage, and up to 45 days in Ultra Long Standby mode. Exact battery capacity was not disclosed.
The Black Shark GS3 Ultra will be available in black and silver color options. Pricing and release details have not yet been announced, and there is no information yet on when it will arrive in the Philippines or other specific markets.
