DJI has announced its latest drone, the Mavic Air. The drone is as small as the Spark and is foldable like the Mavic Pro. It’s about the size of a typical smartphone when folded.
The Mavic Air shoots 4K videos at 30fps using its 12MP f/2.8 CMOS sensor. It can also do slow-mo of up to 1080p at 120fps. Aside from the microSD card slot, there’s a built-in 8GB storage accessible via USB Type-C port.
For stability and safety, the Mavic Air features a 3-axis gimbal and a 3-directional environmental sensing (better obstacle avoidance compared to the Mavic Pro). In Sports mode, it can go as fast as 68.4kmph with a maximum flight time of 21 minutes.
The DJI Mavic Air sits between the original Mavic Pro and the DJI Spark. The standard set retails for USD$799 (about Php40,000) with the combo going for $999 (Php50,000). Color availability in white, black and red.
